"Our log home is on a main channel on Smith Mountain Lake. We wanted to choose a company that could restore the logs as close to its original look as possible, and wanted to lighten the color of the logs since the original stain of 1999 when the home was built was darkening considerably. We had also sustained considerable damage to the fascia and soffits from carpenter bees and woodpeckers over the years. The job of repairing the damaged wood, stripping the original stain to bare logs, and applying new stain and caulk to the entire home was a daunting task even for the best "do-it-yourselfer". During our research, we met TPC Restoration owner Dennis Turpin at the Roanoke log home show a few years back and were impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and can-do attitude. We decided to execute the project this year and re-connected with Dennis at this year's Roanoke log home show. He immediately submitted his proposal, we signed a contract soon thereafter, and work commenced.

Dennis and his team worked tirelessly to meet our expectations. When we arrived at the lake after the project was complete, we couldn't believe how great the house looked. From helping to select the stain type, stain color, discussing pros and cons of media blasting, sanding, and power washing, to sending regular photos of progress (this was really important for us since this is our second home), we considered the project to be in good hands throughout. The team was extremely meticulous; they hand-sanded the entire exterior, replaced all damaged tongue and groove soffits, replaced all gutters and downspouts (changed color from beige to green), and stained. Attention to detail was very evident. Even when Dennis was out of commission due to an injury, he continued to communicate progress without interruption. It's this kind of commitment, dedication, and personal interest by the company owner in ensuring the job gets done right the first time that separates TPC Restoration from its competition. With Dennis Turpin at the helm, we are confident you can't go wrong with TPC Restoration. Thanks to Dennis and his entire team for a job well done!"
